Summer lovin

I'm not very good at keeping this thing updated:) A lot has changed since my last post! First off we are NOT selling the house! We of course were disappointed when the contract fell through but we thought it was God telling us that it wasn't the right time for us...so we will wait! Instead of thinking of all the things that i don't like about my house i'm going to be happy and remind myself how lucky i am to live in a house that our whole family can live in and be comfortable. On another note, Sadie has changed SO much! She now is crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, and every now and then she will just stand up alone:) For some reason, i think it will be a while before she starts walking:) She also has 8, yes 8, teeth! She got 4 teeth pretty much at the same time, and then a couple weeks later, the other 4 cut. I'm sure that there are more to come:/. We have also had a lot of changes at work...my summer schedule has been very hectic with camp everyday.. We decided it would be best to let Sadie stay at Miss Jeannie's (she runs an at home day care with a couple of our friends babies going there). She did so perfect there! My work hours are not as flexible anymore though so i will not be able to take her there bc i would have to go to work first, then back to drop her off, then pick her up in the afternoon then go back to work and then home. Soooo, she is back with me starting now! I have mixed emotions bc she was having so much fun at Miss Jeannies...and i would be lying if i said i have not enjoyed having a little bit of a break, but i miss her so much! Scottie and Josh both miss her too:) I have a week off while they go to the beach and then we will be back to a somewhat normal routine! I am ready for school to start:) Scottie will go everyday to pre-k from 9:30-1 and Josh will go 3 days a week in the 3's class room. I think I will probably enroll Sadie in January to get her going too once she is close to dropping that first nap. Thats it for now!!

new things

It has been a while since my last post, lots of new things going on! I'm happy to report that we officially have a contract on our house! I'm praying these next 2 weeks go by without a hitch with the inspection and appraisal (hearing appraisal these days makes me cringe). We aren't really sure where we plan on going, probably staying out in this area or possibly out in Roswell. Sadie is changing every day! I love my little goof so much, i really can't imagine life without her...what in the world did i do with my time before she came along? She is definitely teething...no false alarms here:) i can definitely see 3 of them under the gums getting ready to come up and the other top one is right behind them. This should make for a wonderful few weeks! Sadie is ready to be crawling....she now gets up on all fours and starts giggling then just rolls around. I think she keeps herself occupied just by rolling around the room these days. Doggie bowls will soon come up, and the house will definitely need to be baby proofed. Thanks for everyones sweet prayers for my Joshua...he and Scottie were playing outside one night and got hit with a hand shovel on his head and he had to get 3 staples put in his head. He is doing great and gets them out this Friday. Oh yeah, i had a wonderful first Mothers Day, great breakfast, the whole day to do what i want, and my new iphone which i love! Thats about it, i'll keep things posted with the house!

House for Sale!

The house is officially for sale! Check it out at www.3816lakepasspoint.info

Hopefully it will get some interest but we are certainly not going to get our hopes up. We are "watching" a couple of houses right now and we really hope they don't sell! If they do then it wasn't meant to be:) I will keep updates on the status. Wish us luck, we will need it in this market for sure!

still swingin:(

Well it has been a long 3 days of trying to "wean" Sadie from napping in her swing and i am about to lose my mind! She is a very smart and stubborn girl....she will just cry for hours in her bed during the day or in her pack n play at work. I really don't know what to do. I know that i need to just let her cry it out but i wish there was an alternative plan. Maybe i will gradually set her swing to move slower and slower each time so she adjusts to less motion and then eventually no motion. I just want her to get good sleep during the day bc those that know Sadie know that she is a monster with no sleep! Oh well, hopefully she won't be taking her swing to college with her:) Wish me luck!

Princess Sadie

Well there has been a lot going on these past two weeks. Our mixed tennis team did make it to the finals but we couldn't pull off a win. Thats okay though, we got much farther than we thought and we had a ton of fun...maybe next season:) Brent and I also decided that we would try and put our house on the market...call us crazy i know. I think it will be listed on the 23rd of March. We aren't going to get our hopes up but if we do get a good offer on our house, it could mean that we get a great deal on our next house which we hope to stay in for the long haul. So if you know anyone iterested in a great starter home in Suwanee, send them our way! As for Sadie, she is perfect as ever! She is still sleeping excellent, the week of the time change kind of messed her up a little bit and she was waking up about once and we had to go and comfort her. I think it threw her off, especially going to bed when it was still light outside! We also decided (and by we i mean me:)) to stop letting her nap in her swing. She is starting to outgrow it and i don't want her to fall out! So far so good! I am ready to sell the swing i keep at work...maybe i will put it up on craigslist. Aunt Trisha took some great pics of Sadie last night and she did great! We are going to do some Easter ones at the park as soon as it gets warm out again.

6 months and growing!

We went for Sadie's 6 month check up this morning. She is 15 lbs. 5 oz, 25.5 inches tall, and head cir. 42.5. She is very proportional, just under the 50% for all of those! She also starting sitting up all by herself this week! She showed the dr. her new skills and the dr. was very impressed:) All she wants to do now is sit! I took Sadie to Lifetime yesterday after work and she did great! I didn't get paged at all...they really just held her the whole time and she chewed on some toys...favorite thing to do these days. Hopefully i can get into a rhythm of working out again and taking her with me. When tennis is over i really want to take her up there on the weekends and get in the water with her...i really think she will love the pool. I can't say enough good things about the past month. Sadie is such a joy to be around! As most new moms know, the second you talk about how great your baby is sleeping, the next night is always something different! Babies are so inconsistent! I'm so happy to say that for the past 7 weeks Sadie has been sleeping great through the night! She goes to bed at 7 pm and wakes up at 6 am to eat, then goes back to sleep until 7 when we have to leave to go to work. She is taking a morning nap around 930/10 and will sleep for about 2 hours, and takes an afternoon nap around 2 or so and sleeps for about 2 hours. We started solids and it is going well, just a few more new foods to try...and she actually did like the peas! I guess thats all for now!

busy busy busy!

Well we have had a very busy weekend! Two playoff tennis matches, a Friday night work outing, and Sunday night dinner with friends! It went by so fast! Out mixed tennis team has made it to the third round of the playoffs...so exciting but i am ready for it to be over! If we win our next match we play for city champions! Women's season starts soon and practice picks up this week. Sadie hung out with Mimi Friday night, then Saturday she hung out with Uncle Micky, Nanna, and Aunt Paige, then on Sunday she hung out with Nanna and Nunnie. We also went to see the newest addition to our family...Tracy and Eric had a baby boy over a week ago so we went to see sweet baby Reid. He is so adorable and slept the whole time! On another note, Sadie is finally starting to enjoy her fruits and veggies! We still have a few that we still have to try, i'm nervous about the green ones:) I decided i was going to make her baby food myself but i can't get the puree the right consistency so when she can take the more lumpy kind then i will start making it. She is growing so much everyday..we think she has gotten taller, it's much easier to clean in her neck rolls than before:) She goes for her 6 month check up on Thursday so i will update all her stats! i think she will be close to 16lbs. Thats all for now!

Blog?

okay before you judge me, i'm only doing this whole blog thing for myself, not so others can read about me:) Since most of my conversations are with people under the age of 5, i thought this would be a good way for me to vent. For those of you who don't get to hang out with Sadie that much it's a good way to see how she is growing (and yes it is way too fast). So here's to blogging!

Please don't comment about my grammar, i know it's really bad
