blogger of the year

So, i realize i'm not the best blogger. There is a lot to update on here(considering it's been about 6 months since my last update). Baby #2 is on the way and it's a BOY! We are thrilled and can't wait to be a family of 4. In 3 weeks we are taking our very first trip to Disney World. One last hoorah before baby #2 comes. Sadie is so excited she asks everyday to go to Disney World:) Another big change is that I will no longer be a nanny to Scottie and Josh. This is obviously very bitter-sweet for me as i have been their nanny for 6 and a half years!! Even though i will be really sad to leave them, i am really excited about staying home with my babies. I can't wait to not have to wake up Sadie in the morning and to not spend the 2-3 hours in the car each day that we currently do. Sadie is really going to miss playing with the boys though..we will definitely need to plan routine play dates for them. As far as Sadie goes, she is just divine! She talks non-stop about just about everything. She is almost fully potty-trained too which is great. She absolutely loves school and next year will start going 3 days. My goodness how fast she is growing. She has turned into the worlds biggest daddy's girl which melts my heart but also makes me a little sad when "no daddy do it" comes out of her mouth so often. I love my little family so much:) That's all for now!

This week has been rough! Everyone in our house has been sick...Sadie is feeling great which is good, but Brent and I are feeling awful! Hopefully we feel better by the weekend:) We got Georgia season tickets this year for the first time since we both graduated! We are super excited to get to head up to Athens for all the home games:) Sadie will begin preschool next week, I am very excited about this! Lately she is attached to my hip...we literally spend so much time together, I really am looking forward to having a small break and hoping she adjusts well:) We also have decided that we are not going to sell our house. This is something we have been back and forth on and after MUCH consideration we have decided to stay here for a while. And by while, i mean while:) Although there are lots of things that we wish we had (a fenced yard, extra space, etc.) we realize that the grass really is always greener. Even though we don't have a fenced yard, we live on a very quiet street where Sadie can play and ride her bike. Even though we don't have extra bedrooms, the rooms that we do have are quite large. Maybe our kids will have to share a room, and that's okay. Soooo at the end of this month when our listing expires, our house will officially be off the market:) Cheers!!

She is 2!?

Well, today is my precious baby girls second birthday. So hard to believe that 2 years has gone by so fast. I can't imagine what my life would be like without her beautiful chaos that she brings to our family:) We are celebrating tomorrow with a close family dinner that we will be having at our clubhouse. Nothing fancy, no friends invited, just keeping it close family. Much less stress on us and on her:) Last night Sadie got to have a sleepover with me in my bed because Brent was gone and because it's her birthday of course:) It was so much fun cuddling with her (minus the kicking in the face at 4am). I took her to imaginations a play this morning and she had a blast of course. If you havn't been there yet it is a must for pre-school aged children. She got to paint a very lovely picture, play grocery store, play in a rub a dub dub bubble bath, and pretend to make me some delicious hot dogs. When we got home she got a couple of presents from mommy and daddy (a baby doll with bottles and a kitchen mixer for her kitchen). She is a true girly girl so she loves playing mommy and pretending to cook too:) We got her a tricycle but it still has not come in the mail yet and i wanted something small to give her on her special day:) We finished up the day with a birthday dinner out at Cheeky(which she didn't eat) with Uncle Micky. They brought out a piece of cake(which she DID eat) with 2 candles and sang happy birthday to her and she loved it. She couldn't believe that these people knew it was her birthday too! Now that the day is winding down, I still can't believe my baby girl is no longer a baby:( I remember her little infant cry like it was yesterday and knowing that she is growing up is so hard to take in. The past 2 years have been SO hard and SO amazing at the same time. Love you baby!! Happy 2nd Birthday!!

We're Back!

I'm not even going to attempt to update on everything that has changed since my last post over a year ago. I promise I will try to do better at updating my blog:) Sadie is almost 2!! I really can't even believe it, it just seems so unreal. I remember the day she was born as if it were yesterday. Summer is almost over and i'm actually really excited about it! Summers are always hard with camp schedules/heat exhaustion, etc. Needless to say, I am very ready for Fall and school to start back up:) I also have been doing a little photography on the side with my dear sister. Although i still have SO MUCH to learn still, i really feel like i have come such a long way from this time last year with my point and shoot camera. I try and get Sadie out at least once a week to practice on just getting better. You have to start somewhere right?? Oh yea, Sadie is sleeping in a big girl bed!! After endless sleepless nights in her crib and constant battles i was wondering if maybe it was time for a change. She would nap in our bed during the day and always slept really well so we decided to try it. She sleeps in our guest room right now bc her twin bed is being antiqued along with an armoire that was Brents when he grew up. Hopefully she doesn't get too used to that big queen size bed:) Her vocabulary is really taking off too. She talks up a storm and for the most part I can understand her (i said for the most part:)). She is such a good listener and really obeys well....i know i am bragging on her but she's my baby! We had a great family beach trip back on Memorial Day and Sadie loved the ocean. I havn't taken her to the pool as much as i would have liked but i guess there is still time left. So here are some recent pictures i have taken of my sweet princess!

Summer lovin

I'm not very good at keeping this thing updated:) A lot has changed since my last post! First off we are NOT selling the house! We of course were disappointed when the contract fell through but we thought it was God telling us that it wasn't the right time for us...so we will wait! Instead of thinking of all the things that i don't like about my house i'm going to be happy and remind myself how lucky i am to live in a house that our whole family can live in and be comfortable. On another note, Sadie has changed SO much! She now is crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, and every now and then she will just stand up alone:) For some reason, i think it will be a while before she starts walking:) She also has 8, yes 8, teeth! She got 4 teeth pretty much at the same time, and then a couple weeks later, the other 4 cut. I'm sure that there are more to come:/. We have also had a lot of changes at work...my summer schedule has been very hectic with camp everyday.. We decided it would be best to let Sadie stay at Miss Jeannie's (she runs an at home day care with a couple of our friends babies going there). She did so perfect there! My work hours are not as flexible anymore though so i will not be able to take her there bc i would have to go to work first, then back to drop her off, then pick her up in the afternoon then go back to work and then home. Soooo, she is back with me starting now! I have mixed emotions bc she was having so much fun at Miss Jeannies...and i would be lying if i said i have not enjoyed having a little bit of a break, but i miss her so much! Scottie and Josh both miss her too:) I have a week off while they go to the beach and then we will be back to a somewhat normal routine! I am ready for school to start:) Scottie will go everyday to pre-k from 9:30-1 and Josh will go 3 days a week in the 3's class room. I think I will probably enroll Sadie in January to get her going too once she is close to dropping that first nap. Thats it for now!!

new things

It has been a while since my last post, lots of new things going on! I'm happy to report that we officially have a contract on our house! I'm praying these next 2 weeks go by without a hitch with the inspection and appraisal (hearing appraisal these days makes me cringe). We aren't really sure where we plan on going, probably staying out in this area or possibly out in Roswell. Sadie is changing every day! I love my little goof so much, i really can't imagine life without her...what in the world did i do with my time before she came along? She is definitely teething...no false alarms here:) i can definitely see 3 of them under the gums getting ready to come up and the other top one is right behind them. This should make for a wonderful few weeks! Sadie is ready to be crawling....she now gets up on all fours and starts giggling then just rolls around. I think she keeps herself occupied just by rolling around the room these days. Doggie bowls will soon come up, and the house will definitely need to be baby proofed. Thanks for everyones sweet prayers for my Joshua...he and Scottie were playing outside one night and got hit with a hand shovel on his head and he had to get 3 staples put in his head. He is doing great and gets them out this Friday. Oh yeah, i had a wonderful first Mothers Day, great breakfast, the whole day to do what i want, and my new iphone which i love! Thats about it, i'll keep things posted with the house!

House for Sale!

The house is officially for sale! Check it out at www.3816lakepasspoint.info

Hopefully it will get some interest but we are certainly not going to get our hopes up. We are "watching" a couple of houses right now and we really hope they don't sell! If they do then it wasn't meant to be:) I will keep updates on the status. Wish us luck, we will need it in this market for sure!
